We are fans of Ferrells’s canon of work, here at rivercityvibe. The iconic Frank “The Tank” Ricard is high in our pantheon of heroes, right up there with Bill Donovan and Larry “Buster” Crabbe. He’s always worth watching (apart from in Elf), particularly, when he is with that one guy, John C. Reilly, from Talladega Nights…..

So I could not recommend  Stepbrothers more highly. A hilarious movie with an important message (something to do with “activities”)……

I recommend you buy it. It’s at Target. Here’s the trailer:

Oh, and you may, like a buddy of mine, purchase in error, the standard DVD. Avoid this. Pay an extra seven bucks and get the Double DVD version. I have no idea what’s on the second disc (it slipped under the sofa) but I reckon it’s awesome……

I was sent this by a buddy who  is clearly implying that, after the events of this week, I will henceforth be turning up at parties with the Frank “the Tank” Ricard’s old “Bed, Bath and Beyond” routine, from that awesome movie, Old School.  This youtube piece is actually an awesome song and contains many welcome Entourage references. How good is that?

Setting Elf to one side,  I think we can agree that Will Ferrell’s canon, encompassing such classics as Old School, Talladega Nights, Blades of Glory and the sublime Anchor Man,  represents a deep well of comedy from which we can draw buckets to refresh our souls

Anyway, the man behind Ron Burgundy, Chazz Michael Michaels and the brilliant Frank ‘the tank’ Ricard (said to be based on my friend The Hog…….) has consented to answer unfiltered questions, via the word wide interweb, from his fans.
